Urban Decay Haul!

Tonight I attended an Urban Decay event at our local Shoppers DrugMart. It was lots of fun. We had one on one advice and make up application from Urban Decay specialist.

I've included pictures of what I got!

The lip junkies are naked and strike. The lip liner is midnight cowboy. The highlight is moonshine and the concealer is in FBI.

Presents in the mail!

My Glossybox and Luxebox have both arrived. On my way to work so I can't open them now, but looking forward to my surprise when I get home!

Glossy Box June 2012

Finally my first Glossy Box arrived! Here is everything I received. Four full size products. I am certainly impressed.

The box arrived with several nice things inside. Some I have already tried and others I am excited to check out.The packaging was cute and I am so in love with the pink box and ribbon. I am already making plans for what I can keep in it. The pink box is pretty and sturdy. I will not be recycling this one.

Like with other boxes, they include this card describing each of the products. I received in this box the following:

Full Size Biore Combination Skin Balancing Cleanser. I have never tried this, but since this is just the type of skin I have, I am looking forward to using it. We also got a Biore Pore strip to try.

Sample Size of Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Sunscreen. This will be perfect for the purse this summer!

Full size Wella Professionals Oceans Spirtiz for creating beachy waves. I do not usually use hairspray, however this concept is neat and I do like to have waves in my hair sometimes. If anyone has used this let me know what you think.

Sample Size Olay Regenerist. I have several sample sizes of this, but it is always nice to add to the collection. I do like the way this cream feels and I will certainly use it. Also a great travel item.

One Gilette Venus Embrace Razer. I have used this, but you can not have too many razors. It is a very smooth razor that preforms well.

Full Size Cover Girl Flipstick in Minx. This is a double ended lip colour with a side that has a strong colour and one side with a shimmer. You can wear them on their own or combine. I have included swatches below.

I love getting beauty boxes and things like this each month. It is like a little present sent right to my door. I know I pay for it, but don't ruin my fun! Do you get a monthly subscription box? Which ones do you like?

Sand Tropez is finally mine.

I finally went out and got essie - sand tropez. I have been admiring it since it came out and gave in to temptation tonight and picked it up while I was at the drug store.

I also picked up essie's all in one base coat. First time using it so I will see how I like it.

Mabon

I love autumn.

I am sure I have said this many times before, but it is by far my favourite season and tops my favourite time of year.

The trees have started to slowly change colour and shed their leaves. The sun is starting to rise slower and shines much brighter in the morning. The evenings have turn crisp and cool, the skies clear and the stars shining bright and strong.

The magic and wonder of Mother Nature is alive with activity as she prepares for a great winters sleep. Now is the time she gives to us her great bounty, the fruits of all her hard spring and summer labours.
I love this moment in time. Where day and night stand equal. The sounds and smells, the offerings and gatherings that fall brings to us. From the sound of crisp crunchy leaves to the scurry of squirrels storing their winter meals, I love everything autumn has to offer.

Bright autumn days and hot apple cider on cool fall evenings. Thanksgiving gatherings with family and the excitement of Halloween, when magic is in the air and children are dressed as ghouls and goblins in hopes of scoring some candy corn and chocolate.

Every year I look forward to the same silly Halloween cartoons and movies. Then of course, the trip to the pumpkin patch with family, friends and their children on a search for the perfect carving pumpkin.
This is our chance to reap what we have sown, reflect, give thanks and truly appreciate all that we have been given and all that we have.

I wish you all a merry and bountiful Mabon. May your blessings this season be plentiful.

For the furbabies....

I bought a bird feeder.  I assume it will bring great visual enjoyment for the cats, and perhaps myself as well, as the days grow warm. At least I know they will have something to look at out the window while I am at work, making money of course to pay for their house they so kindly let me live in, treats, small catnip stuffed rodents and the million other things spoiled well loved kitties come with.

October.

I love Autumn. I love the crisp air, the bright clear skies. The sound of the leaves crunching. The trees giving up their summer bounty to the ground. The smell of spices and warmth. The first sip of hot chocolate. Thanksgiving ( I am Canadian) and Halloween. The primer month for holidays to come. I love that i get to wear snugly clothes and fluffy socks. I am sure I could sit here all evening and think of things to describe why this is my favorite month of the year. Not necessarily my favorite time, I like most any holiday, but of course the Christmas season is tops for me. I think I spend the first eight and half months waiting for the end of September, My birthday, October, and December. November to me is the month that is the cross over month. The time you use to get from one great holiday time to the next. When I start my shopping make my list, get my cards ready for mailing, prepare for he winter season, and celebrate the birthdays of friend lucky enough not to have been born during the busy holiday month of December. Because lets face it, even if you are born December first, many still consider it just too close to Christmas. So enjoy October, go head, eat the candy corn.

Happy Autumn!
